And we race through life
Yes, we have it all
"'cos time's short, so you might as well."
Wealth and ambition,
The fancy new kitchen,
Houses to buy and to sell.
Some serve their work,
Some serve their kids;
Lives that are given away.
The illusion is strong
So we carry on
Yet all that we have is today.
One thing is certain:
It's the mystery of
Leaving this shadowy Earth.
But it slips our mind-
We must be blind!
For death comes as surely as birth.
Don't be decieved
By all that you see
May you choose to pursue things that last.
Life's like a flower
Bloming today
But withered and gone oh so fast.
